Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Friday, May 7, 2021.  Alex MacPhail of Waverley in his 95th year.  Beloved husband of the late Joanne MacPhail.  Dear father of Mardi (Russell) Redshaw, Jennifer (Brett) Knowles, Stephen (Janet) MacPhail, and Heidi O’Brien.  Proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  

Alex loved gardening and with help from his friend Diane, produced beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables in his extensive gardens.  He also loved to golf, dance, fly his small plane, build his own houses and travel after retiring from a teaching career.  Joanne was the love of his life and they are together again now.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
